Debrief, introducing xPHOTON & early LP rewards

This week has been an absolute game-changer for Raini and The Lords of Light! As a quick recap for any Rainians who may have been offline this week:

We have officially partnered with Rarestone Capital - a successful VC who have invested in and supported a number of successful projects, like Terra Virtua, DeFi Land, and My Neighbor Alice.
Our RTLOL Genesis Card Pack drop completely minted out less than two days into the Public Pre-Sale.
Cold opening of card packs went off quite smoothly — and we have already seen over 110 ETH of trading volume on OpenSea for our card packs alone.

We can confidently say that we now have everything we need to build out a massive Rainiverse, so after catching up on some much needed sleep, it is time to get back to work!

Introducing xPHOTON

As previously announced, the utility token for The Lords of Light is called PHOTON, which will be launched alongside the game.

We are excited to announce that we are introducing a placeholder token called xPHOTON, which will entitle the holder to vesting PHOTON tokens once launched.

You will be able to earn xPHOTON tokens in one of two ways:

You will be able to stake your RTLOL cards in a dedicated pool to earn xPHOTON as a yield — all cards will be stakeable, but the yield received will scale based on the rarity and supply of the card(s) you are staking, with mythics, legendaries, and cards with lower supply generating a higher yield. This pool will only be open until PHOTON itself is launched.
We will also be airdropping xPHOTON tokens to liquidity providers before the game launches. The number of xPHOTON tokens airdropped will be based on the amount of LP provided, as well as the duration of LP provided.

Note that the airdrop is a bonus in addition to the $RAINI yield and Unicorn point generation that LP providers receive. As was the case with our card pack drop and last NFT drop, moving forward we intend to make the rarest and most valuable piece in each drop only attainable with Unicorns.

The airdrop entitlement will be based on LP provided from 25 September 2021 (when this medium was published) and the date that we close the xPHOTON staking pool for cards. If you’ve already provided LP and are still providing it now, you don’t need to do anything else in order to qualify; if you haven’t yet provided LP or want to provide more, you can do so now in exchange for an additional xPHOTON entitlement.

Further details will be provided shortly, but we wanted to give you an early heads up.

Cards and Packs can be purchased on OpenSea for ETH users, and will be available on our BSC marketplace in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Early LP NFT Rewards

We want to make good on our promise to reward early LP providers with NFT(s).

It feels like a lifetime ago, but if you provided LP on Uniswap prior to staking (April 20th, 2021), please complete this Google form to claim.

The rewards will be based on how much liquidity you provided, and how long you provided liquidity for — and these packs will be airdropped to the same wallet that provided the LP.
