Locked Card Packs
Some Genesis card packs were refunded in error!
The Raini: Lords of Light Genesis drop has been a truly incredible experience so far. However, we have identified an issue that occurred during the Raini Presale period, which affected a small number of people who bought packs from the Raini Public Pool.
Essentially what happened was that, in some instances, purchases of multiple quantities of the same pack type in the same transaction resulted in only one of the packs being paid for (with the others being incorrectly refunded). This means that a small number of wallets have received packs that they did not, in fact, pay for.
We’ve therefore identified the packs held by these wallets and locked them, pending payment — these packs will not be able to be opened until they are unlocked. We have also changed the image and names for these packs to clearly indicate that they are locked, as a safeguard against people unknowingly buying locked packs on the secondary market.
We apologise if you’re affected by this, but for two key reasons we cannot let the free packs remain unlocked:
- This drop is a hugely important source of revenue for the Raini project.
- Free packs change the cost basis for holders of cards, which can negatively impact secondary market sales and prices.
Understanding the Transaction
The pack purchase transactions can be a little complicated to understand, so let us walk you through it.
In the above transaction, the user minted 4 Chromatic Packs, which cost 0.18E each, or 0.72E total.
You will see the Value at the bottom of the above screenshot of 0.72 Ethereum. That is the amount initially sent into the transaction, and does not reflect any refunds that occurred within the transaction.
The “Interacted With” section, shows what happened with the NFT contract after the buy was initiated. The Rainicorn: Packs contract incorrectly transferred 0.54E back to the user, as a refund — shown again below.
Since this 0.54E should not have been refunded, the buyer effectively purchased 4 packs for the price of one.
Resolution
If any of your unpaid packs have been locked and you wish to unlock them, you will firstly need to speak with our moderation team on Telegram or Discord and provide your wallet address to identify the amount outstanding.
As a goodwill gesture, we will be discounting unpaid packs by 10% to account for transaction fees and inconvenience.
After confirming the amount of ETH or BNB owing with a moderator, please transfer this amount to the Raini Deployer (on ETH or BSC).

Once this is done, please send the txn ID to one of our moderators, who will forward your message on to the dev team to process the unlock. Do not transfer funds to any other wallet address.
If you do not wish to unlock the unpaid packs, you do not need to do anything.
