Raini — Officially Ready for Liftoff!
It’s time to take things to the next level.
Chromatic & Gold NFT’s
With numerous major artists hard at work producing exclusive NFTs for the platform, and the first drop planned for the start of June, we wanted to provide some insight into how the exclusive RAINI NFT’s will work:
- Core NFTs will be redeemable using Rainbows and Unicorns; which can be earned by staking your RAINI tokens alone (to earn Rainbows) or LP tokens (to earn Unicorns).
- These Core NFTs will be exclusively available through the Raini platform and intentionally scarce in number — after each NFT drop completes, there will never be any more copies of these NFTs minted.
- The game-changer for Raini comes from the fact that holders of Core NFTs will be able to burn a number of identical copies to upgrade to a higher Gold tier. For example, a given drop may have a maximum supply of 50 copies of a particular Core NFT. In this case, any individual wallet that manages to accumulate 10 copies of the Core NFT may burn them all for 1 Gold version of the same NFT. Note that there will be wallet caps on Core NFT redemptions to help keep things fair.
- Holders of Gold NFTs will be able to burn a number of identical copies to upgrade to a higher Chromatic tier. Continuing the above example, if an individual wallet manages to accumulate 30 copies of the same Core NFT, they could burn all of them to produce 3 Gold copies, and then burn all 3 Golden copies to produce 1 Chromatic NFT. In the above example, there will only ever be enough supply of Core NFT’s for a maximum of 1 Chromatic edition of that NFT to be produced, along with a small number of Golden versions.
- This process will create additional deflationary pressure on each tier of NFT — for example, as more Core NFTs are burned to upgrade to Golden NFTs, the supply of each core NFT will permanently decrease. This process should drive significant value to collectors of exclusive Raini NFTs, even those who choose to stick to the core versions.
- Gold and Chromatic NFTs will have special value within the Raini ecosystem.
