What? Raini’s next Artist is evolving!
Welcome to Rainiweek day #4! This is a particularly exciting one for us, not just because it caps off our initial artist announcements, but also because this one is quite close to home for us:
- This artist is a favourite of both of our founders— we think he produces incredible works of art and have a number of his pieces displayed in our homes, and;
- Whilst this artist has been approached by a number of projects about producing NFT’s for/with them, he has largely turned them down and instead chosen to work with Raini - primarily due to our unique “evolving” NFT concept.
We are therefore proud to announce that Andy Thomas will be producing exclusive evolving NFTs for Raini — Instagram here!
Andy’s vast artistic experience ranges from creating stage concert visuals for well known musicians, including Bjork and Empire of the Sun, to showcasing his art at a number of major events across the world, including the 2018 Total Chaos conference in Bulgaria, the 2016 & 2018 Rainbow Serpent festival in Australia, and the 2016 Ozora festival in Hungary.
Over the last two decades Andy Thomas has developed an iconic visual language that is uniquely his own. Using a combination of digital technology and water colours, Thomas’ work is a symbolic representation of nature’s collision with technology.
Inspired by the beauty of nature and extensive travel to some of the world’s most ancient rainforests, Thomas fuses together images of flora and fauna into evolved abstract forms. Intricately layered compositions of plants and animals make a strong statement of technology’s impact on planet earth and how advancements in society are affecting the natural systems of life.
